I owe Kinko's a HUGE Thank You!
I worked my morning away and thought I was done for a couple hours - loaded my truck up to take my mother home in Dayville. Funny thing about Eastern Oregon - cell service is sketchy at best not to mention wi-fi hot spots being non-existent.
As we loaded the last items into the truck, my mother asked - do you need your lap top? I replied that I thought I would be ok, that I had all my paperwork for the day in order and that I would be fine until I could get back in 6 hours - boy was I wrong.
I did not get more than 15 miles down the road when a buyer I have been working with called, the home we had been waiting almost 2 years to buy had just come on the market and priced to sell. Time was of the essence beyond what we can even imagine. By the time I got off the phone with the listing agent I was sitting in front of Kinko's in Bend Oregon.
I ran in and simply said I need a computer - they sat me down, I inserted my credit card - the cost did not matter I needed to get this offer written, and written now. We wrote the offer, emailed it to my buyer, they signed it faxed it to my office. My office scanned it to my email, in which I was able to email it to the listing agent. I called the listing agent, presented the offer on the phone as he printed it.
I signed off - got my credit card back
15 minutes later my cell phone rang, it is the listing agent. Accepted Offer is being faxed back to me.
Total cost at Kinko's $5.50 - Accepted offer of a $390,000 home -
Thank You Kinko's I have never needed you before today - I am glad you were there for me.

You sure did work hard for that buyer. Waiting 2 years for a house to come on the market????
Congratulations on your upcoming closing.
I always say the best thing for business is to either go on vacation or forget your cell phone! It seems like when I do either of them, clients I have not heards from in awhile call and need something that day!
Wow Thesa, only $5.50? That's cheap...
That was good, quick thinking. :)
Thesa,
Congrats on the deal..are you going to pay Kinkos a referral fee:)
Thesa,
Congratulations on making the deal, now thats quick thinking! I didn't realize you could go to Kinkos for that service, thanks I learned something new today! :)
Nancy - This buyer had rented this home several times and wanted that particular home - so when it came on the market at a great price we had to work fast. I was thrilled to find Kinko's was there to assist me in my time of desperation. Saved me a 30 mile one way trip.
Todd & Danielle - I have never stepped foot in this business before yesterday - I will certainly keep them in mind for other business needs.
Randy - I had never had to use this service - but I sure was thankful they were there.
Donna - I agree so much - when ever I plan a trip it gets crazy
Sally - You are too nice - thank you so much -
Darrel - thank you
Missy - I loved it.... It was so slick
Joe - You gotta love it don't ya
Stephanie - I type fast and when you are paying by the minute - it is amazing how quickly you can work.
Maggie - It was great! I was wondering where you were - I have not seen you lately - nice to see you - drop me line
Neal - thanks - no referral fee - can only pay them to licensed agents - but they have earned my business for a long time to come which is probably a better deal anyway.
Dan - I needed the post - Todd is ahead of me by 2 points as I reply to your comment J
Matt - lol it does sound like a commercial
Michele - Gas to Dayville was $70.00 Lunch was $15 and contract accepted is priceless.
Teri - it was perfect timing I was right at the turn in when I needed it - it was fate
Jennifer - I had not either - it was great!
George - thanks for visiting and nice to see you
Suzanne - thank you - it was great
Stephen - thank you
hahaha...that sounds like a perfect commercial for the "Priceless" theme! I can see you running into Kinkos, knocking over a stand of envelops (all in slow motion) and hurdling a little kid who is picking up an M&M that he dropped...
okay okay, maybe that is a little far fetched but it sounded funny in my head!
Thesa,
Congratulations on the accepted offer. Great to see how you were there for your client - many agents would not have been so diligent.
