Central Oregon Real Estate Info: Moving To Central Oregon!

Moving To Central Oregon!

Thinking of moving to La Pine - what a great idea!  La Pine is a small city in fact it is one of the most recently formed cities in Oregon.  Located just 30 miles south of Bend, Lapine offers an easy commute to a larger city and a lot of great outdoor activities.  Some people only have the opportunity to do while on vacation, here you can enjoy the outdoors year around.

La Pine Big Deschutes RiverLa Pine has 3 schools, one elementary, one middle school and a high school.  Land has been set aside for an additional elementary school to handle the growth of Central Oregon and the La Pine area.

One of the biggest attractions to home buyers looking in the LaPine area is space.  Lapine may be a city, but the actual city is small in comparison to the area referred to as La Pine.  Most of the homes for sale in what is called La Pine are actually outside the city limits and are generally on lots of about an acre.

A few of the great attractions of La Pine are; Newberry National Monument, Mt. Bachelor, The Big Deschutes River, North Twin and South Twin Lakes and Crane Prairie and more than I will list here.  Central Oregon is more than real estate it is a lifestyle.  A lifestyle that few have the opportunity to enjoy everyday, are you ready to be one of those lucky few?

La pine has many choices in real estate, along with a huge price range.  LaPine offers everything from the starter home to the multi-million dollar riverfront with Mountain View home.

Thesa, As a frequent visitor I can attest to how beautiful and peaceful life in your neck of the woods is compare to the rest of the places I have visited.

Oh my goodness.  What a wonderful view.  I could live there and just look out the window all day.

Of course, I couldn't make a decent living so I'll stay where I am.  But, I do so envy folks who live in areas like the one in this photo.

Thanks. Thesa

That photo is just beautiful.  LaPine / Lapine sounds like a great place to raise a family in the fresh air...great outdoors.

That beautiful lake and mountain scene is tempting, but then I think of the snow. It's going to get down to 44 degrees tonight and I have an appointment tomorrow. Having to go out in cold weather strikes fear in my heart!

It's amazing how much it's changed over the last 40 years. I rember as a young boy driving up that way from Klamath Falls and there being nothing. Gilcrest Was the "big" town...
