I was supposed to be in Texas for a couple weeks in May this year. I had been looking forward to it since last November when I had the opportuntiy to meet with Chris Tesch and Marchel Peterson we met in Dallas and hit it off right away.

This year my husband is still recovering from a badly broken leg (broke it Feb 13 and is still not walking) so my trip was cancelled. All month I have been in the dumps - I feel sad more often than happy and just can not break the funk.
I have a pull to Texas like nothing I have ever experienced.... so tonight I took a trip down memory road... photos of the first time I laid eyes on Texas and the family I never knew until I was over 40.
I thought some of you would like to see them.
I hope to be in Texas this fall - but time will tell - until then - I hope and pray they are all ok. Sheila's house is no longer, the babies are growing up and the girls are now your women. I am amazed everyday by the way people in Texas are so warm, welcoming and inviting. If you look at the faces of this family you would never know we had only known each other for 3 days when these were taken. It seems like we have been together a life time.
Getting the news that my sister is in such a horrible place, loosing her home and not being there to help just kills me.

Thesa... The tough times are hitting hard... Hope you can put on your traveling shoes soon and visit your loved ones.
Thesa, I do wish you could have come and visited. I hope your hubby gets beter real soon and you can visit sooner than later!
Oh Thesa....Know things have been tough with Mike. I didn't realize about your sister. I have been remiss in picking up the phone. I will fix that and We'll share some laughs!
Looks like it was a good time...I'm sure once your husband gets up and going you'll be able to enjoy it again.
Thesa, We do miss you but understand about hubby. You would never know from those pictures that you had just know each other three days. I am so sorry to hear about your sister's problems. I just got off the phone with Chris; she was out taking a listing. I am waiting to go to a neighborhood barbecue myself. This will be our first neighborhood get together since our one neighbor passed away. I'm sure it will be fun but a little bittersweet.
Thesa - It is good to have to photos to look at when we can't be with family, I know what that feels like. Here is hoping your husband will recover soon.
Bummer about your husband! I hope he gets well soon. And I'm sure your extended Texas family will be waiting when you get there =)
Dearest Thesa;
You look like you are having the time of your life with your Texas family at the races and hanging out at your sisters. You have to believe that this too will pass and you will be with your Texas family before too long - fall is not too far off and a great goal for you! Smile and be happy ... best wishes to your sister.
Thesa,
Looks like a great time with family and friends!!! beautiful wheather I wish we were having some of that. Be patient, soon you will get to visit again. Remember everything happens for a reason even if its not what you want. unfortunately its another bump in the road that we must go over. Keep your chin up and love each day you have.
Your Friend, Heidi
